Chincoteague – Chincoteague is actually a town on the namesake island, nestled in Accomack County, VA. The population is around 3,000. One of the most prominent and well-known features of this town are the famous Chincoteague Ponies. Although, these can actually be found on the neighboring island of Assateague.
