A street festival for children designed for celebrating children and the arts, the 22nd annual Imagination Bethesda is scheduled for June 4, 2016 from 10am to 3pm. The stage will be lit up by professional children’s entertainers and musical performances. Additionally, the streets along Woodmont Avenue and Elm St. in downtown Bethesda will be lined by hands-on art & craft activities. This shindig is intended for kids 12-and-under and will also feature free giveaways, balloonists, face-painters and more.

On the other hand, the 13th annual Bethesda Fine Arts Festival is intended for a slightly more mature crowd. Here, in excess of 120 artists from the nation over as well as Canada will showcase and sell their fine art and craft. Scheduled for May 14 and 15, this weekend celebration will also boast local restaurants and live music in addition to fine art. Artists will sell their original ceramics, jewelry, furniture, photography and paintings. The event will be located along Del Ray, Auburn and Norfolk Avenues, in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle.
